On Sunday, the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates downplayed comments from Donald Trump regarding a conflict between two U.S. presidential debates this fall and a pair of primetime NFL games. Over the weekend, Trump claimed that Hillary Clinton could benefit from the scheduling, as viewers switched from the debates to games on Sunday and Monday Night Football. Citing scheduling difficulties, the Commission said it would be impossible to avoid all top sporting events being broadcast in the fall viewing period.
